Natolin Fellowship Programme – for PHD students or recent PhD graduates from Ukraine

The College of Europe in Natolin is happy to announce the launch of the Natolin Fellowship Programme.  This is a new 8 month-long non-degree fully funded professional and innovative programme combined with a dedicated traineeship for young people coming from Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia who want to contribute to the integration of their countries into the European Union.  

It is tailored for individuals up to 35 years old with a robust educational and professional interest in European affairs. The programme is addressed towards PhD students or recent graduates of PhD programmes in Ukraine, Moldova, or Georgia (within 12 months from the graduation day). The Natolin Fellowship Programme is planned to be launched at the turn of June / July 2024 and will last until January / February 2025․

It will be divided into two phases: 1) knowledge- and skills-based modules in traditional, blended, and e-learning formats, and 2) an internship/traineeship in virtual or blended formats, for a hands-on practical perspective in a professional environment. 

In addition to the core Programme, the Fellows will: 

  • cooperate with committed mentors, who will provide individualised learning approach and oversee research papers of the Fellows;  
  • participate in up to three thematic conferences or / and in short research field trips/visits, local events by receiving up to 1 000 EUR support in total;   
  • Improve their English language skills for research, professional and communication purposes and take part in cross-cultural workshops (following a dedicated needs assessment, it may be considered to include other language classes, example French).
