Legislative adjustments
Legislative adjustments – a process whereby the national legislation of an associated country is being approximated to the acquis communautaire so that the legal solutions in a particular sphere and their practical implementation are the consistent with the EU legislation. Legislative (and institutional) adjustment is usually carried out on the basis of a national programme for the adoption of the acquis and is subject to close monitoring by the European Commission (for example in meetings of the association institutions).
