This edition focused on Cluster 4 – Green Agenda and Sustainable Connectivity and was the first group within the current phase of the project dedicated to this negotiation cluster.
The group included eight representatives from several Ukrainian public institutions: the Administration of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, the State Tax Service of Ukraine, the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine.
As part of the programme, participants took part in institutional group visits in Warsaw. Meetings were held with representatives of the Centre for Eastern Studies (OSW), the European Commission Representation in Poland, and Frontex. The discussions focused on the EU’s enlargement policy, the role of EU agencies and institutions in supporting candidate countries, as well as key policy developments related to the Green Agenda and sustainable connectivity within the European Union.
The programme also included a study visit to Łódź, where participants explored practical approaches to green transition and renewable energy. During the visit, they met with a representative of the Marshal’s Office of the Łódź Region, who presented the role of regional authorities in implementing EU policies and supporting sustainable development. Participants also visited laboratories at Lodz University of Technology, where they learned about ongoing research and observed how innovative solutions are applied in the fields of energy and industry. The study visit provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss practical aspects of implementing green transition policies at both regional and national levels.
