The EU opens accession negotiations with Ukraine
June 25, 2024On June 25, 2024, the first Intergovernmental Conference on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union will take place in Luxembourg. This marks the official start of negotiations for Ukraine’s EU membership.
The conference will begin at 16:30 Kyiv time and will be led by Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Olha Stefanishyna, along with Belgium’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hadja Lahbib, representing the country currently holding the EU Council presidency.
The path ahead will be challenging but also filled with immense opportunities.
