N4CB Project presented at the Richelieu forum in Kyiv

On 22-23 September, the annual Richelieu forum of public service took place in Kyiv. Its organizers – the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service and Center for Adaptation of the Civil Service to the Standards of the European Union – devoted this year’s theme to the issue of “The Architecture of the New Model of Public Service.”

As was highlighted by the Head of the National Agency of Ukraine on Civil Service, Nataliia Aliushyna, at the beginning of the forum, the war narrows the horizons of planning down. It forces the Ukrainian civil service to concentrate on the main thing — the strategy of maintaining the capacity and functionality of the public service, ensuring the governability of the state in highly unfavourable conditions. In this specific context, participants discussed critical current issues, like the implementation of the latest effective human resource management tools, new approaches to organizing the work of public servants, digitalization tools, acquisition of new competencies by public servants, and strengthening the institutional capacity of state authorities in the field of European integration, among others.

At the organizers’ invitation, the College of Europe in Natolin was present at the forum, represented by Mr Konrad Dziurdzia, team leader of the Natolin4Capacity Building project. He expressed his thanks to the organizers for the invitation to such an important event, as well as gratitude for the cooperation with Ms Nataliia Aliushyna and the EU Delegation to Ukraine. He presented key projects of the College of Europe in Natolin related to Ukraine and the Eastern Neighbourhood in recent years, such as Natolin4Capacity Building, Journalistic Craft for Neighbourhood, the 3R Project, and Warsaw Euro-Atlantic Summer Academy (WEASA). In particular, he described the main activities and e-learning platform of the Natolin4Capacity Building project.
